1 Corinthians 13  1-8 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Blessed Are The Peacemakers

In Matthew 5:9 Jesus makes the statement  “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. ” Will you be a child of God today? Flat or Spherical Earth?

Does the bible teach that the earth is flat or does it teach that, as modern science tells us, it is a sphere spinning in space that rotates around the sun as do other planets in our solar system? First of all, it should be noted, that the bible does not teach either theory. The bible is not meant to teach us scientific truths but, rather, spiritual truths that we may live by. Hurricane Patricia

Hurricane Patricia is barreling toward the Mexican coast as I write this. Does this mean that the citizens of Mexico that will be affected by the storm are particularly wicked and that God is punishing them for their wickedness? God can use nature to punish the wicked, but does this mean that every time we have a natural disaster that He is doing so? I don’t think so. Continue reading →

I can understand why one would want to use profanity in their speech, perhaps. It probably gives them a little thrill of excitement when their speech is colorful, but it only gives me a feeling of disgust when I hear it and I can imagine how God feels to hear it come out of the mouth of one who is supposed to be serving Him.
