Answered Prayer

My niece has been on dialysis for kidney failure for seven years and had to go for treatment three hours per visit three times a week. In answer to many a fervent prayer, she got a kidney and had the transplant just this last Friday. We are still praying that she will accept the new kidney and that it will be fully functional. She is still in the hospital recovering from surgery this week.  Continue reading

Teaching Others

Someone posted the following to Facebook: “You can’t continue to hurt good people and believe God is ok with your actions.” While I would tend to agree with this statement, the poster went on to comment something to the effect that “bible huggers” were hurting her and that God would not approve. The bible has much to say about it. In Luke 11:39 Jesus told the pharisees that they strove to make themselves appear pure and holy on the outside but on the inside they were full of “greed and wickedness.” We should be careful this doesn’t characterize us as we seek to serve God.
