New Creature

The new convert to Christ will find many obstacles and influences in their life that they must overcome. Paul says that those who are in Christ are a “new creature” (2 Corinthians 5:17) and so must not walk as the “old man of sin” (Romans 6:6) walked. Continue reading

Baptism

The next step on the road to salvation is to be baptized for the remission of sins. This is the most controversial step in the plan of salvation with many people saying that baptism is not necessary to salvation. It should not really be an issue. In every case of conversion in the book of Acts the new converts were immediately baptized upon their repentance and confession of faith. Continue reading

Repentance and Confession of Faith

The next step on the road to salvation and getting right with God is repentance. John the Baptist came preaching repentance and baptism for the remission of sins before Jesus started His ministry (Matthew 3:1-6).
